What is a SidePlaner?
The original Bank-Ease Planers are a trolling aid device, designed to hold your fishing line or baits out and away from the bank or boat into the current.
Bank-ease planers designed by Moulder Inc. will hold fishing line in desired location with precision until baits are changed or fish strikes!

How do I read water?
Simply put the ability to tell where fish are likely to be holding or staging as they move up the river or stream.
Launching your Bank-Ease planer: Keep in mind that your planer needs some current at the shoreline to ensure a successful launch. Remember to keep your towline up off the surface of the water, most important in slow current conditions.
Fishy water you must try !!
In rivers you will encounter these types or sections of water, The first being a pool or holding water this is where you will find the deepest spots, ledges, slots and a variety of fish holding structure. This area of water can be back trolled with lures or bait with sufficient current.
Next you have seams: Fish hold in oxygen rich water but don't want to fight the fast current so they will hold on the seams where faster moving current meets slower current. That's a sure bet in my book!
Next you have break water: Fishing just upstream of the break water with side planer back troll lures to fish that push through the fast water and stage momentarily before moving up stream to holding water.
Outriggers: Keep a set of original Bank-Ease planers in your boat for trolling.
- Keeps your lines from tangling especially with directional changes.
- Trolls outside your boats wake, effective in catching fish that move out and away, for example (Bull trout and Kokanee) their quick to leave the scene.
